Today our Filipino friends met a young girl at the market. At only 15 she is already working in the streets. She is shy and sweet, her favorite food is pork silog (pork chops). Her whole face lights up when you ask her if she wants to come to live with us at the safe house in Manila. My heart is already attached, I just love her.

As we prepared to go out tonight my desire was God please fill me with compassion. More compassion until I just burst.

Tonight the streets were full of American men as customers. It's too awful wrap your mind around but, I find myself asking for their freedom from self destruction and cancerous denial.

After passing out lots of invitations to the get away we met this group of girls. They are all so young and vulnerable. Their little eyes so hungry as they listen to our friend explain in tagalog what we have just told them in English. They want so badly to believe that what we are doing is not a trick but, real. They make a joke that we are just trying to trap them or kidnap them but, I know we've made a chip in the wall. We will be back tomorrow to make another chip which will turn into a crack. By the end of May that crack will split and just a pile of rubble will be left as we leave for the getaway!
